NBCC is currently seeking a dynamic and competent individual for the position of Casual Community College Clinical Instructor in the delivery of the New Brunswick Canadian Educated Nurses Re-entry/Internationally Educated Nurses bridging program (NB CRIB). This is a casual position from January to April 2021, with the possibility of extension. The successful candidate will work full time hours (36.25/week), in the hospital setting, primarily day shifts with the possibility of some evening shifts.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Manager of Business Development, you are responsible for establishing and managing a positive learning environment; instructing and evaluating students in the classroom and/ or clinical setting and coordination of preceptorships; building and sustaining professional relationships with students, colleagues, community partners, and stakeholders; as well as other related duties.

The successful candidates will have the knowledge, skills, and ability to teach, supervise, counsel, guide and evaluate the Registered Nurse students, in hospital clinical setting.

The successful candidate will be willing and able to integrate technology and active student learning techniques into teaching practices.

Qualifications

Required qualifications for this opportunity include a two (2) year Diploma of Nursing with a minimum of five (5) years of recent acute care nursing experience and must be currently registered with the Nurses Association of New Brunswick or be eligible for registration; OR a Nursing Degree with a minimum of three (3) years of recent acute care nursing experience and must be currently registered with the Nurses Association of New Brunswick or be eligible for registration.

Preference may be given to candidates with a Master's Degree in Nursing or Education, and who have experience teaching in a post-secondary environment.

Other combinations of education and experience may be considered as equivalent. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be raised.

Written and spoken competence in English is required.

NBCC offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package that includes a competitive salary for this position ranging from $28.38 to $40.00 hourly. Successful candidates may be eligible for a higher maximum step, up to $43.68 hourly, based on their level of post-secondary education. This position is a unionized position where the terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with the New Brunswick Union of Public and Private Employees collective agreement (Education, Instructional Group) for the College.
