The New Brunswick Sports Hall of Fame is looking for a dynmic communicator to join our team on a permanent part-time basis. You are the ideal candidate if you seeking a 50% position and are bilingual, highly organized, a good multi-tasker, love variety, and can see yourself becoming passionate about telling the stories of New Brunswick's most accomplished athletes and sport builders. This is a pemanent part-time position which could be done from your home or from the NBSHF's office in downtown Fredericton.

What you'll do

Responsibilities

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Communications - Assumes responsibility for coordinating the organization's external communications initiatives.

  • Act as primary point of contact for incoming communications.
  • Respond appropriately to telephone, email, and web-based communications.
  • Coordinate and contribute to writing, editing and producing materials and publications.
  • Coordinate and execute our social media strategy.
  • Coordinate and implement website content updates and revisions.
  • Identify and implement new strategies to expand the reach of the organization.

What you'll need

Qualifications

Experience: 3 to 5 years relevant experience.
Language: English, French

  • Knowledge and/or experience with the provincial sport system would be a strong asset.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with the non-profit sector would be a strong asset.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with the cultural or heritage sector would be a strong asset.

New Brunswick Sports Hall of Fame

For more than 50 years, the New Brunswick Sports Hall of Fame has played a lead role in preserving and promoting our sports heritage. We celebrate New Brunswick's most inspiring athletes and sport builders at our annual Induction Gala and grant them permanent recognition in our provincial sports shrine. Additionally, as a non-government incorporated charity run mostly by volunteers, we operate the only Sports Museum in New Brunswick. With the mandate to strengthen New Brunswick's cultural and societal fabric, through exhibitions, programming, and outreach, the NBSHF tells the amazing stories of New Brunswick's most inspiring athletes and sport builders. By honouring our best we inspire the rest.
