The Opportunity
The Colour and Design Coordinator is the primary point of contact for homebuyers from the moment of purchase through possession. This vital role involves guiding clients through the selection of interior and exterior options, ensuring their preferences and budgets are considered, and maintaining accurate documentation for both sales and construction purposes. The Colour and Design Coordinator is also responsible for fostering a positive customer experience and collaborating with internal teams to facilitate smooth project execution. The Colour and Design Coordinator models and reinforces actions consistent with Cresco's values, vision, and culture and cultivates a positive environment for both internal and external customers.
What you'll do
Responsibilities
- Builds a rapport with the homebuyer through a comprehensive discovery process to determine the buyers design preferences and lifestyle needs, ultimately helping them create a home they will love.
- Conducts live video or in person appointments reviewing all choices available to the homebuyer, with consideration towards their design goals and budget.
- Shares product knowledge with buyers and reviews upgrade options.
- Always provides exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.
- Work closely with Purchasing and Sales team members to communicate change orders and amendments promptly, ensuring alignment in project execution.
- Responsible for routinely auditing project files to ensure accuracy and completeness, contributing to seamless project management.
- Facilitate the selection of interior and exterior finishes with purchasers and record accurate documentation of selections for Sales and Construction purposes.
- Work with custom home buyers by outlining the process and assisting them throughout the project.
- Work with team members on home construction related marketing material.
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to all planning, building and customer service processes, ensuring efficiency and excellence.
- Attend meetings and provide updates on the status of the selection process for all ongoing projects.
- Respond to all incoming phone calls and emails in a timely manner.
- Provide tours of the selections space while pointing out features and available options.
- Proficient knowledge of products offered in the selections space.
- Recommend and contribute to the development of standard features.
- Assist in tagging product selections when needed.
- Model home walk throughs with potential buyers.
- Document and provide sales leads from model home walk through traffic to Sales team
What you'll need
Qualifications
- Related college or university degree is preferred.
- 2 years in design or similar role is required but experience as a Designer or Design Coordinator in residential construction an asset.
- Superior organizational, administrative and customer service skills are essential.
- Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with construction plans and/or general residential construction experience is an asset.
- Must be comfortable with photo editing.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role, ideally in the real estate or home construction industry.
- Experience with CRM software considered an asset.
- Highly positive approach and commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
- Must thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion and proven knowledge of interior design and space planning.
- Must be highly self-motivated and organized with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment is critical
- Proven proficiency managing high level of detail for multiple projects.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, both verbal and written.
- Deadlines are crucial so proactive planning is required in this role.
