The Institute of Biomedical Engineering (IBME) has been producing leading research and real-world solutions in the biomedical domain for 50 years. IBME aspires to be an institute of influence through excellence and innovation in research and clinical care in the field of mobility and rehabilitation engineering to enable positive change across our local and global communities. The Institute occupies RN Scott Hall on the UNBF campus with two clinics and three labs that provide state-of-art equipment and facilities to research and provide clinical care for mobility rehabilitation.
WHAT WE OFFER

Standard Work Hours: Mon - Fri | 8:15 am - 4:30 pm | 36.25 hours per week
Salary Range: $44,904 - $56,128 per annum
YOUR FOCUS
Reporting to the Director, the Cinic and Outreach Coordinator is responsible for smooth and reliable administration of overall operations of the two clinics in a fast-paced environment where 45+ active cases are often on the go with varying administrative and financial requirements.
- Initiate the process flow with internal and external agents, including coordinating with patients, Stan Cassidy Centre for Rehabilitation physicians and clinicians and internal psychologists.
- Provide proactive inventory management, pre-emptively order parts and monitor timelines to ensure the clinics have all components when needed.
Generate estimates and invoices for components and services.
- Responsible for handling all tasks related to shipping and receiving of parts.
- Develop insights about long-term funding needs and build rapport with funders and clients by actively communicating with insurers, patients, and internal members of UNB's financial department.
- Manage patients and build a rapport with each patient and their family and walking them through the process regarding clinical services, timeline, insurance, and other details.
- Provide translation services during clinical visits for those patients whose preferred language is French.
- Promote IBME services in the community, including physicians and clinicians in Atlantic Canada, by proactively developing infographics and other educational material, and reaching out to build relationships and educate various groups including funding organizations.
- Analyze broader ecosystem, spot inefficiencies and develop education opportunities to improve processes.
- Design and update the clinic's website, handle social media posts and infographics.
WHAT YOU BRING
- A University degree in a relevant field.
- Bi-lingual - strong proficiency in French language.

- Strong organizational and management skills.

- Strong computer literacy, particularly with the MS Office Suite programs including Teams, Word, Excel, etc.
- Prior experience in a similar role will be considered an asset.
