NBCC is currently seeking dynamic and competent individuals asĀ Casual Invigilators (for an inventory pool) to be hired on an on-call basis for all NBCC programs and sectors, and across all our campus locations (Saint John, Moncton, Saint Andrews, Fredericton, Miramichi, Woodstock). Hours of work will vary based on student need.

What you'll do

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Manager of Student Development, the Invigilator oversees the writing of tests and exams while ensuring the student maintains appropriate conduct in accordance with NBCC policies.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervise tests/exams ensuring the area is free from distractions and interruptions;
  • Read and/or Scribe test material as requested;
  • Follow NBCC policies and guidelines ensuring the integrity of all testing material is maintained; and
  • Ensure all resources required for the exam are controlled and returned to appropriate staff.

What you'll need

Qualifications

Required qualifications for this opportunity include a high school diploma or equivalent, and post-secondary education. Candidates must demonstrate integrity and vigilance to supervise tests/exams as per policies and guidelines. Some knowledge of MS Office Suite is required. Knowledge of Assistive Technology would be an asset, but not a requirement. Candidates must clearly demonstrate how they meet these qualifications on their resumes.

Written and spoken competence in English is required.

Preference may be given to candidates who have experience working as an invigilator in a post-secondary environment.
