NBCC is currently seeking dynamic and competent individuals for the positions of:

  • Casual Instructor, Electrical, Commercial (4-week Position)
  • Casual Instructor, Plumbing (4-week Position)
  • Casual Instructor, Carpentry (4-week Position)

What you'll do

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Manager of Business Development, you will be responsible for planning and preparing instructional materials and resources; establishing and managing a positive learning environment; instructing and evaluating students; building and sustaining professional relationships with students, colleagues, community partners, and stakeholders; as well as other related duties.

What you'll need

Qualifications

Required qualifications for this opportunity include a high school diploma, or equivalency, and a valid Certificate of Qualification as a Journeyperson in the Designated Occupation of Carpenter (Red Seal), Plumber (Red Seal) or Electrician (Red Seal). Additionally, the candidate must possess a minimum of three (3) years of recent and related work experience at a Journeyperson level. Candidates must clearly demonstrate how these qualifications are met on their resumes.

A working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.

Written and spoken competence in English is required.

Preference may be given to candidates who have experience teaching in a post-secondary environment and previous experience working with Indigenous learners.

Other combinations of education and experience may be considered as equivalent. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be raised.

NBCC offers a compensation package that includes a competitive salary for this position ranging from $27.49 to $38.73. Successful candidates may be eligible for a higher maximum step, up to $42.03 hourly, based on their level of post-secondary education. This position is a unionized position where the terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with the New Brunswick Union of Public and Private Employees collective agreement (Education, Instructional Group) for the College.
