As a key member of the Business Intelligence (BI) team, the BI Analyst plays a central role in extracting information to create data visualizations that support data-driven decision-making. He/she creates a link between the technical team and stakeholders from all business sectors to understand business needs and translate them into actionable data for use in various reports and dashboards. In addition, he is also responsible for training and coaching stakeholders, ensuring the effective adoption of BI tools, as well as the development and implementation of data governance initiatives.

What you'll do

Responsibilities

Data visualization: Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the business context for all lines of business and work with stakeholders to determine their needs; Document the technical requirements that will be developed in the giveaway model; Design reports and dashboards using Power BI to transform complex data into compelling narratives and engaging visualizations; Implement visual guidelines for reports and dashboards.

Training and coaching : Promote a data-driven culture within the organization and challenge existing norms; Prepare and deliver engaging user documentation and training; Provide ongoing personalized support and practical advice.

Data governance : Develop, document and implement data governance standards and policies; Monitor user compliance and generate reports on governance measures to highlight areas for improvement and track progress.

What you'll need

Qualifications

  • Strong oral and written communication skills in French and English

  • Bachelor's degree (various disciplines)

  • Training in data analysis or experience in a similar role (considered an asset)

  • Experience using data visualization tools (Power BI preferred)

  • Ability to quickly understand processes and procedures to gain a solid understanding of the impact of data on each business area

  • Ability to translate data into actionable recommendations that will impact business decisions
