What you'll do

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director, Business Development, the Business Development Manager-Apprenticeship will be responsible to provide strategic academic leadership for the Apprenticeship contract. The Business Development Manager is responsible for review and revisions of the contract, negotiating improvements to the contract, researching and implementing new and innovative pre-apprenticeship programming and audit functions of existing contract. The Business Development Manager-Apprenticeship will collaborate with the College Dean of Trades in initiatives relating to expanding awareness of trades in general and ensure alignment of apprenticeship with pre-employment trades programming at the College.

Qualifications

Required qualifications for this opportunity include an Interprovincial Red Seal and a minimum of six (6) years of recent and related experience, including at least one (1) year of supervisory experience; OR two year (2) Diploma in Business, or a related field, with a minimum of eight (8) years of recent and related work experience, including at least one (1) year of supervisory experience; OR a Bachelor's Degree in business, and a minimum of six (6) years of recent and related experience, including at least one (1) year of supervisory experience; OR a Master's Degree in Business or a related field, and a minimum of four (4) years of recent and related experience, including at least one (1) year of supervisory experience.

The successful candidate must possess excellent presentation and written communication skills and experience with financial modelling, reporting and cost benefit analysis, and excellent Microsoft Excel skills. Experience in process improvement would be considered an asset. Strong written and spoken communications skills in English is required.

Experience working in a related role in a post-secondary environment may be considered an asset.

Other combinations of education and experience may be considered as equivalent. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be raised.

Occasional travel within New Brunswick is required and candidates must possess a valid Class 5 driver's license.

NBCC offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package that includes a competitive salary for this position ranging from $56,524 to $78,962 annually.
