PLATO has offices on or near Indigenous communities across Canada, in Fredericton, Sault Ste Marie, Ottawa/Gatineau, Regina, Prince Albert, Calgary, and Vancouver.
We are currently seeking a Business Development Executive. The successful applicant will be responsible for generating revenue growth through new business opportunities, building relationships with current and new clients and leading key partner relationships in the Alberta region.
What you'll do
Responsibilities
- Mature and execute PLATO's Alberta growth strategy
- Manage new-client and base-customer growth across enterprise and government accounts
- Manage & grow key business partner relationships
- Participate in industry networking events
- Maintains ownership of all phases of the sales cycle
- Responsible for the upkeep and accuracy of CRM data
- Lead on strategic proposals
- Work with the marketing team on strategy/activity in the region
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions and sales activities
- Share market feedback and customer insights with internal teams to improve services and offerings
- Stay updated on industry best practices and sales techniques
- Participate in training and professional development programs as required
What you'll need
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years' experience selling IT services to enterprise and public sector clients in Alberta, with a preference for experience in the Alberta resources sector
- Experience finding, developing and closing managed service or managed capacity contracts
- Proven track record as a Business Development Lead achieving sales objectives and targets
- Experience using Microsoft 365 and CRM software to manage customer interactions
- Experience with strategic planning, business management, and successful negotiation
