What you'll do
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Manager of Business Development, the Business Development Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support for the development of new business and revenue opportunities for NBCC. These areas of new business relate to the current and emerging educational and training needs of the labour market.
As a team oriented person, the Business Development Coordinator responsibilities include, but are not limited to; communication with students on various educational program requirements; organizing the delivery of educational programs around project coordination, curriculum resourcing and promotional strategies in conjunction with the IT, marketing and communication teams; various financial duties such as payroll, purchasing supplies, and monitoring finances to ensure business development activities are within budget; and being a liaison with academic groups.
What you'll need
Qualifications
Individuals interested in this opportunity must possess a minimum of a high school diploma plus a one (1) year post-secondary program in a related area and a minimum of six (6) years of related work experience; OR a high school diploma plus a two (2) year diploma in a related field of study and five (5) years of related work experience. Candidates must have strong customer service skills and be a self-motivator. Candidates must clearly demonstrate how they meet these qualifications on their resumes.
Strong written and spoken communications skills in English are required as well as extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Other combinations of education and experience may be considered as equivalent. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be raised.
Occasional travel within New Brunswick is required and candidates must possess a valid Class 5 driver's license.
Experience working in a related role in a post-secondary environment may be considered an asset.

NBCC offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package that includes a competitive bi-weekly salary for this position ranging from $1,802 to $2,182. This is a unionized position where the terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with the New Brunswick Union of Public and Private Employees collective agreement (Administrative and Program Support Services Group) for the College.
