Responsibilities

Business Analyst

St. John's, NL

We are inviting applications from individuals who have an orientation towards accurate and efficient data analysis and presentation, along with expertise in client care and service excellence. Reporting to the Pension Policy Supervisor, the Business Analyst is primarily responsible for ensuring all plan member data changes are completed efficiently, accurately, and within internal control requirements. The Business Analyst will work closely with other internal stakeholders to help identify bottlenecks or areas for improvement to current processes and make recommendations to the organization. The successful applicant will also provide support services to the Pension Administration team to help complete several different projects, including annual pension statements, and benchmarking reports.

Your key activities will include, but are not limited to:

· Accurately reviewing and entering high volumes of data in customized systems.

· Ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality is maintained in the pension systems

· Verifying data by correctly checking source documentation and resolving any discrepancies as needed, escalating when necessary.

· Completing evaluations of process performance reporting, to identify areas for improvement

· Processing and completing transaction activities in accordance with established service standards, procedures, and policies.

· Supporting system updates and identifying opportunities to streamline processes

· Assisting with pension statement validations and plan valuations as needed

· Supporting the completion of annual benchmarking reports

· Participating in the distribution process for plan member statements

What you'll need

Qualifications

Professional Profile:

Your professional profile consists of the completion of a college or university related program, supplemented by at least 3 years of data management experience. Completion of a benefits designation such as CEBS or GBA is considered an asset. You have strong organizational and analytical skills, with a focus on client care excellence.
