The Project & Portfolio Management Office (PPMO) is service-oriented team within Information Technology Services (ITS), providing project management, business analysis, change management, and process improvement services both within and outside of ITS. Reporting to the Director, Project & Portfolio Management Office, the Associate Director will play a significant role in the leading business analysis and process improvement in the unit and manage a team of analysts and project specialists.
- Oversee the daily operation and management of a team of business and process analysts.
- Manage the day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of multiple and/or large-scale projects, as assigned.
- Foster effective change management and process improvement practices and maintain a collaborative network of peers responsible for change and process in client areas.
- Chair various integration or project working groups and teams in carrying out the mandate of the PPMO.
- Act on behalf of the Director, as required.
- Develop and maintain process and policy documentation for the unit, employing continuous process improvement to uphold standards and best practices.
- Represent the University in dealings with various external vendors and partners, including consultation, networking, and professional development.
Qualifications: Undergraduate degree in business administration, information management, or related field. Master's degree or professional designation such as CMA, and a certification in Change Management preferred. A dynamic and strategic leader, with at least 10 years' experience managing a team of professionals, preferably in the post-secondary sector. Experience in business and process analysis is required. Coaching and training experience is an asset. Project Management Professional designation and ITIL are considered assets. Superior interpersonal and communication skills, including effective speaking skills, are required. As a leader you naturally motivate and support the success of others.

Salary Range: $66,445 - $89,896 per annum (ADM-07). This is a provisional classification. Formal classification procedures will be initiated by the Compensation & Job Evaluation Unit in approximately six months.
