Thermalite is proud to be an Atlantic Canadian owned and operated Manufacturing Facility that is growing and looking to add an Assistant Controller to their driven and successful team. Starting with only 5 employees in the early 1980's; this company has flourished and currently employees over 100 people in 2 facilities.
Reporting to the Controller, the right candidate will have experience working within an accounting function. This role requires a high level of independence and organization. The succesful candidate will work with all departments within the company to ensure the best quality product is delivered on time at the best total cost possible.
What you'll do
Responsibilities
Main Responsibilities Include:
- Create and maintain accurate BOMs and routing on all products
- Investigate production discrepancies
- Investigate cycle count discrepancies and make proper adjustments and corrections
- Record day to day financial transactions
- Participate in the monthly financial close and account reconciliation
- Assist in procurement and inventory management
- Enter purchase orders in system and assist purchaser
- Enter daily production in accounting software
- Manage promotional material for sales force
- Assist in completing and managing marketing strategy
- Act as backup for shipping department
- Other administrative and analytical duties as required
What you'll need
Qualifications
- Post-Secondary Diploma or certificate in business or related field
- 2-3 years of working experience in a similar position or field
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
