Job Summary: The Agile Project Manager will be responsible for managing and delivering projects using Agile methodologies. This role requires a deep understanding of Agile principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and with the highest quality.
What you'll do
Responsibilities
- Project Planning and Management:
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Creates and maintains project documentation throughout the lifecycle of the project and ensures documentation is standardized across projects.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and motivate cross-functional teams through all phases of the project lifecycle.
- Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Ensure team members understand Agile principles and practices, providing coaching and guidance as needed.
- Stakeholder Communication:
- Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and issues.
- Facilitate effective communication between project teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.
- Risk Management:
- Identify and manage project risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
- Monitor project progress and implement changes as necessary to ensure successful project delivery.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging team reflection and learning.
- Implement best practices and process improvements to enhance project delivery and team performance.
What you'll need
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree/Community College diploma in Computer Science or STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) majors or equivalent industry experience
- At least 2 years of experience managing projects using Agile methodologies.
- Strong understanding of the Scrum Agile frameworks, optionally Kanban or Lean.
- Proven track record in an Agile environment, ideally in software development.
- Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Agile certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), PMI-ACP, or SAFe Agilist.
- Proficiency with Agile project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello, Asana, Aha!).
- Experience in Windows Desktop products and .Net framework development.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
