Work Location: Office or Hybrid option working from one our Atlantic Canadian Offices (Moncton, NB, Halifax, NS, or St. John's, NL) is perferred.

Atlantic Lottery (AL) is seeking an Agile Delivery Lead. Location is flexible within Atlantic Canada with occasional travel to Moncton, NB.

As the Agile Delivery Lead you will play a key delivery role within the Marketing Technology Team. You will work closely with software delivery teams to prioritize, estimate, build, test and deploy new products, improvements, and enhancements.

Although a non-people leader role, you are to facilitate technical teams to achieve their goals through proper planning, removal of impediments and drive towards continuous improvement through ongoing retrospectives. You will also help manage internal and external dependencies, risks and communicate status to relevant stakeholders.

What you'll do

Responsibilities

  • Implement and facilitate Scrum Agile processes and delivery with Sprints/Iteration Planning Meetings, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews/Demos Retrospectives, Agile Release Planning Meetings, Sprint Reports.
  • Facilitate and keep meetings focused and streamlined to complete within each time box.
  • Work with product owner to ensure demos/sprint review are performed to showcase and confirm features developed, while refining and managing the product backlog.
  • Assist in writing and managing user stories.
  • Assist in team development while holding teams accountable for their commitments.
  • Observe, understand and remove the factors/impediments that impact team velocity with the goal of applying learnings to future sprints.
  • Report against project team deliverables/milestones including progress and any risks/issues.
  • Identify and present metrics which stakeholders can leverage for decision making where necessary.
  • Identify potential improvements to delivery process/scrum approach - provide recommendations to internal team as well as external partners to implement changes.

What you'll need

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • 3+ years' experience as an Agile Lead.
  • Certified in one or more agile frameworks.
  • Expert knowledge of Agile framework and methods (i.e. Scrum, Kanban).
  • Experience using Agile backlog management tools (Jira, Confluence, Rally etc.)
  • Experience being on multiple Scrum teams in a variety of different contexts (different team sizes, different organizations, different cultures, co-located vs. distributed, etc.).
  • Proven success in leading and driving complex, time critical software development projects.
  • Understanding of web-based technologies.
  • Project / Program delivery experience in Agile, Iterative and/or Waterfall environments (medium-to-large scale initiatives) using influence to facilitate to outcomes.
  • Must be 19 years of age or older to apply.
  • Must reside in Atlantic Canada.
