The Athletics & Recreation department services thousands of internal and external clients on a daily basis in the areas of Varsity Sport, Club Sport, Intramurals, and Facility Rentals. SMUfit operations and other events. The department operates a complex business 7 days a week with multiple revenue streams and facilitates activity 360 days a year; hosting 100+ events regularly each year. 

Under the general direction and supervision of the Director or designate, the Administrative Manager -Athletics & Recreation provides financial and confidential administrative support for the Director, Athletics & Recreation and. maintains and monitors the department's overall operating budget expenditures. The Administrative Manager- Athletics & Recreation is responsible for the supervision of the Secretary IV - Facilities Scheduler including overseeing work requests and HR tracking.

Group affiliation for this position is with the Administrative, Professional, Confidential (APC) Group. The position is evaluated at a Group Five (5) (salary range $56,283 - $72,533). Salary scale can be viewed here.

Qualifications

To be the successful Administrative Manager you will possess an Undergraduate Degree with a concentration in accounting or finance and a minimum of two (2) years of related experience. You must have excellent attention to detail and accuracy, excellent written and oral communication, analytical and interpersonal skills and demonstrated supervisory experience; unionized environment considered an asset. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in teams, strong customer service skills and proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel are all required. Assets for this position include experience in SCT Banner and experience in Fusion software.
