New Brunswick Community College (NBCC) is committed to transforming lives and communities. The College is currently seeking dynamic individuals for the position of Administrative Assistant (ASL 3) to the College's Registrar.

This is a one-year term position from May 2022 to May 2023 with the possibility of an extension or becoming a regular full- time position.

What you'll do

Responsibilities

Collaborating under the leadership of the Registrar, you will be responsible for ensuring business continuity through stellar collaboration and customer service in engaging with other individuals and departments in the execution of duties including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Budget support
  • Document tracking systems
  • Space bookings, rentals, vehicle bookings and associated logistics
  • Event support
  • General administration

What you'll need

Qualifications

  • A High School Diploma plus a one-year post-secondary program in a related field, and a minimum of three (3) years of recent and related work experience or High School Diploma plus a two (2) year Diploma in a related field and (2) years of recent and related experience. An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook.
  • Demonstrated initiative, discretion, analytical and problem-solving skills, accuracy with figures, and detail-orientation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization and time management skills in order to meet competing deadlines.
  • Proven commitment to providing a high level of service and to take initiative.
  • Ability to complete complex administrative tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Team player with the ability to work independently and within team environment.
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of clients.

This position is a unionized position where the terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with the NBUPPE - Administrative and Program Support Services collective agreement for the College.
