We are currently looking for a self-motivated Accounts Payable Specialist that will be responsible for all administrative functions of the accounts payable department and ensure all invoices are processed accurately and released in a timely manner to the vendors. The Accounts Payable Specialist will also work proactively, in conjunction with the Purchasing/Receiving department to ensure accurate pricing charged on invoices.
What you'll do
Responsibilities
- Ensure all invoices are coded, entered and prepared for payment processing in an accurate and timely manner
- Respond to supplier inquiries in a timely manner and maintain good supplier relations
- Creation of new suppliers into Oracle
- Prepare accurate daily bank deposits
- Process of filing and A/P posting
- All other duties as assigned
What you'll need
Qualifications
- Minimum one (1) year of work experience in accounts payable is preferred
- College diploma in the field of accounting is preferred
- Knowledge of business administration and general office procedures
- Solid interpersonal skills and an ability to work in a team environment
- Excellent communication, organizational skills, and able to meet deadlines as required
- Experience using an ERP system (Oracle) is an asset
- Bilingualism is an asset
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset
- General knowledge of computers is required
- Experience with Microsoft office suite
