The Opportunity
Adams Green isn't like a traditional accounting firm. We work with a multitude of clients, both for-profit and not-for-profit, to meet their day to day accounting needs. What they have in common is they're too new or too small to have an in-house accounting team. They rely on us give them the information they need to run their business and the peace of mind that we're taking care of things that they're not comfortable with.
The role for which we're recruiting is an opportunity to make yourself invaluable to our team by backing up our full-time staff in their daily tasks. It's one that includes recurring tasks, but also the need to prioritize, schedule and complete ad hoc projects. We're looking for someone who is looking for accounting experience and who embodies the following:

- known for their honesty and integrity.

What you'll do
Responsibilities
The main responsibilities of this role are:
- Coordinate the receipt and organization of required accounting documentation from clients;
- Complete bookkeeping and preparation of monthly/annual financial statements;
- Processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable;
- HST filing;
- Complete ad hoc reporting and special projects as required.
What you'll need
Qualifications
Above all else we value the personal attributes listed above and consider them "must haves". As for technical skills and experience - the ideal candidate has the following qualifications:
- working towards a college or university business/accounting degree;
- previous experience with an accounting firm or as an accountant under the supervision of a CPA.
