The Lounsbury Group of Companies is seeking a Dealership Accountant to work in one of our dealerships in beautiful Shediac, NB.

The Dealership Accountant will provide support to the General Manager, the Sales team and other departments in the dealership by completing the accounting and bookkeeping activities. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Dealership Accountant is the accounting link between the dealership and the corporate head office.

What you'll do

Responsibilities

  • Complete administrative and accounting tasks related to the after purchase cycle of the vehicle
  • Administer accounts receivables and payables, posting of all invoices and journal entries, and month end reconciliation
  • Work with the manufacturer to make claims for incentive rebates, report on sales figures and update the inventory status
  • Maintain accounting files, sales contracts, financing contracts, funding contracts
  • Conduct basic financial analyses

What you'll need

Qualifications

  • Completed a post-secondary accounting program at college or university level
  • Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exercises good judgment and organizational skills
  • Able to work independently and is proactive in resolving issues
  • Must have a high level of confidentiality
