The Department of Philosophy at Saint Mary's University invites applications for an eight-month position at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor, to begin 1 September 2020.

Qualifications

The successful applicant will be qualified to teach a full-year Critical Thinking course and three one-semester courses (equivalent to a 3/2 or 2/3 load) in areas such as ethics and/or history of philosophy. The department is seeking an excellent teacher and active researcher.

Applicants must have a doctorate or ABD status with the dissertation near completion. Salary will be determined according to the regular Lecturer or Assistant Professor scale described in the Collective Agreement, pro-rated to eight months.
