The Department of Geography and Environmental Studies at Saint Mary's University invites applications for an eight month, full time limited term appointment at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor in Geography, effective September 1, 2019.

Responsibilities

The successful applicant will teach five one semester courses (3 credit hours, 0.5 FCE each):

Fall 2019

  • GEOG 2310 Geography of Canada
  • GEOG 3380 Climate Change: Impacts, Vulnerability and Adaptation
  • GEOG 4826 Natural Areas Management*

*subject to change based on enrollment

Winter 2020

  • GEOG 1200A People, Place and Environment
  • GEOG 1100B Global Perspectives of Land and Life

What you'll need

Qualifications

We are seeking an individual with a demonstrated record of effectiveness in University teaching. The successful candidate will hold a PhD, or ABD status in Geography, Environmental Studies or cognate discipline.
