The Department of Modern Languages and Classics at Saint Mary's University invites applications for a contractually limited eight-month appointment in Classics at the rank of Assistant Professor.

What you'll do

Responsibilities

We are seeking candidates who are able to teach courses in ancient history, Classical civilization, art, and archeology, with a demonstrated record of effectiveness in university teaching, and who will support courses from introductory through to senior levels of the program.

What you'll need

Qualifications

Applicants must hold a PhD in Classics, Classical Archaeology, Art History, or Ancient History. Alongside a full-time teaching assignment, the successful candidate will be expected to advise students and participate actively in the intellectual life of the department.
