What you'll do

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Manager, Administrative Services, you will:

  • Provide a full range of administrative support services to the Manager, Administrative Services and also some administrative support services to the Facilities Manager.
  • Answer incoming calls, process incoming and outgoing mail, process room bookings and rentals, and assist with purchasing and cashiering.
  • Provide support to students and assist with their inquiries.
  • Provide support to accounts payable, accounts receivable, the bookstore and general office support to campus administration.

Qualifications

Qualifications and Occupational Experience:

  • The minimum educational qualification for this position is a post-secondary certificate or diploma in Business Administration or Administrative Professional/Office Administration combined with a minimum of two years' (full-time equivalent) of recent and related experience in a fast-paced office environment. Or you have the recognized equivalency of a high school diploma with significant (10+) years of administrative experience.

  • Experience with accounts receivable and collections of overdue accounts.

  • Ability to reconcile cash and use point-of-sale systems for debit transactions.

  • Strong demonstrated computer literacy skills including, but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite, with a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Experience using PeopleSoft would be an asset.

  • You are comfortable working in a digital environment; you take responsibility for acquiring knowledge about advancing technology; and you are committed to using technology in advancing your work

  • Experience supporting/providing service to students and prospective students would be considered an asset.

  • You have proven records and information management skills and abilities in an administrative environment.
