What you'll do
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Manager, Administrative Services, you will provide a full range of administrative support services for the Business Office including campus reception functions of responding to telephone and in-person enquiries. You will provide superior customer service to all clients, students, staff, and the public. You may also perform duties related to Accounts Receivable and/or Accounts Payable. These functions include but are not limited to:
- Receipting of money, processing deposits, invoicing and assisting students regarding tuition, sponsorships, overdue accounts, and refunds.
- Handling cash, debit, and credit card transactions including day end reconciliations and reporting.
- Processing vendor invoice payments and reviewing staff reimbursements, reconciling vendor statements and correcting any discrepancies, liaising with management, vendors, and internal departments for invoice payment/resolution, answering accounts payable questions, and liaising with internal auditors.

Qualifications
Qualifications and Occupational Experience:
- The minimum educational qualification for these positions is a post-secondary certificate or diploma in Business or Office Administration combined with a minimum of two years' (full-time equivalent) of recent and related experience in a fast-paced office environment. Or you have the recognized equivalency of a high school diploma with significant (10+) years of administrative experience.
- Occupational experience that includes basic front desk duties (taking payments using a debit/credit machine, closing and balancing cash, reception, etc.) would be considered assets.
- You are familiar with and comfortable using computer applications such as the Microsoft Office Suite and email. Experience using large Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as Peoplesoft, Oracle, SAP, etc., would be considered an asset.
- You are comfortable working in a digital environment; you take responsibility for acquiring knowledge about advancing technology; and you are committed to using technology in advancing your work.
- Experience managing student financials would be considered an asset.
- Experience supporting/providing service to students and prospective students would be considered an asset.
- Experience working with Accounts Receivables/Payables would be considered an asset.
