The salary scale for Professional Support 3 is based on steps that range from $68,917.73 - $91,624. New Professional Support may receive up to a maximum of seven steps for relevant occupational experience which is $80,254.49 annually.

What you will be doing…

This is a combined position working to support the Department of Workforce Development. In this role you will be responsible to for supporting the planning, coordination, implementation and stewardship of the workforce development learning process, as well as supporting the coordination with academic schools, campuses (if required), various departments within the College. Additionally, this role will have the responsibility for managing student records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality, and timely and appropriate distribution of student information for students under the Workforce Development portfolio. You will collaborate closely with the Managers of Workforce Development as well as the Associate College Registrar on enrollment management issues and provide insight and analysis into enrollment trends.


Reporting to the Manager, Workforce Development, Process & Planning, and taking functional direction from Associate Registrar, Registrar Services this role will:

  • Support workforce development processes including liaising with all academic schools, campuses and Associate Registrars, through the Contract training and continuing education business lines.
  • Play a lead role in organizing workforce development learning opportunities, at all stages and the contracts. The implementation of flexible, yet coherent processes to support these efforts will be an essential priority of this position.
  • To ensure consistency, this role will work with the broader teams to ensure that these efforts are coordinated across five academic schools, thirteen campuses and one eCampus throughout the province.
  • Collaborate with other key stakeholders invested in the delivery of contract training and continuing education learning to leverage systems to support delivery.
  • Maintain consistency in recordkeeping in accordance with College policies and procedures.
  • As a PeopleSoft Power User, regularly review transcripts, enrollments, and issue credentials including Microcredentials.
  • Prepare written and electronic communications to staff and students regarding a variety of College policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Qualifications and Occupational Experience:

  • The minimum educational qualification for this position is an undergraduate degree. A degree focused in Education, Adult Education, or Business Administration would be considered an asset. Experience with MyCreds would be considered an asset.
  • You have a minimum of 3 years (full-time equivalent) of recent and related occupational experience in project coordination and systems support. Your occupational experience focuses on data, records management and relationship building within an educational/academic environment with an emphasis on excellent customer service.
  • You are familiar with and comfortable using computer applications such as PeopleSoft, Microsoft Office Suite, e-mail, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint and Power BI.
  • You are comfortable working in a digital environment; you take responsibility for acquiring knowledge about advancing technology; and you are committed to using technology to create an exceptional student experience
  • You have experience supporting/providing service to students and prospective students.
  • You possess exceptional organizational skills with a strong focus on customer service.
  • You are detail-oriented, self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and ensure timeliness of delivery.
