Salary range: $91,667.60 to $107,844.23 annually.

What you'll be doing
Reporting to the Manager, Respectful Community & Human Rights in the office of Human Rights, Equity and Inclusion (HREI), you will be a program and project manager, a subject matter expert, and a strategic partner who promotes a culture of safety, security and support that respects the dignity of all members of the college community.
You understand conflict as encompassing interpersonal, intergroup and intragroup conflicts, as well as behaviours or conduct that conflicts with our organizational values, polices, and codes.
You are a subject matter expert and the primary lead for inquiries, concerns, complaints, and critical situations raised under HREI policies such as Respectful Community and Sexual Violence Policy, providing advice, consultation, and delivery of services to operationalize these policies in support of a safe, respectful and equitable work and learning environment. Specific duties include policy administration, program development and delivery, and complaint resolution.
You will make recommendations to the Manager, Respectful Communities & Human Rights, Director, Organizational Development, and the Associate Vice President, Student Affairs to ensure policy/procedural compliance and organizational equity, human rights and fairness are upheld.

Qualifications
Qualifications and Occupational Experience:
- The minimum educational qualification for this position is a post-secondary education in a related discipline (i.e., human rights and equity, law, human resources, social sciences, social work, etc.) or equivalent.
- Professional mediation designation or restorative practice/alternate dispute resolution certification, or the ability to obtain either within first six months of employment.
- Occupational experience that includes administering student behavioural policies in a post-secondary setting would be considered an asset.
- Experience administering investigative processes and procedures would be considered an asset.
- You are an advocate for fairness considering the rights of all parties involved in resolution of concerns and complaints, to achieve due process and fair outcomes.
- You have a minimum of 5 years of recent and related occupational experience in the areas of positive conduct, respectful work and learning environments and/or complaint resolution.
- You have specific experience in facilitating conflict resolution/alternative dispute processes and developing blended solutions in response to concerns, reports and issues that involve interpretation and compliance with multiple policies and practices (i.e., Collective Agreements and safety policies, etc.).
- You have experience in coaching, negotiation and influencing others.
- You have experience in facilitating or delivering training programs and sessions.
- You have project management experience.
- You have program design and coordination experience in a large, complex organization.
- You are familiar with and comfortable using computer applications such as the Microsoft Office Suite, e-mail, including familiarity with databases and business intelligence.
- You are comfortable working in a digital environment; you take responsibility for acquiring knowledge about advancing technology; and you are committed to using technology to create an exceptional student experience.
- You have experience in facilitation, design and delivery of training, and evaluation methods.

- You are a strong communicator both written and oral.
- Ability to develop and facilitate educational programming to a broad and diverse audiences.
- Ability to use advanced techniques and strategies to build consensus among people with conflicting points of view.
- You possess excellent skills related to complaint management (e.g., policy interpretation and evaluation of risk, case management skills assessment, planning and coordinating services, communication).
- You have proven records and information management skills and abilities specifically related to complaint management (e.g., familiarity with case management documentation process and/or systems, report writing, protection of privacy).
- You have strong project management skills and are able to balance multiple files and competing priorities.

You are dedicated to life-long learning in your role and the development of your practice, continually furthering your knowledge and understanding of human rights, equity and inclusion.
