Salary range: $42,176.04 to $47,189.29 annually

What you'll do


As the Administrative Assistant for the Centre of Rural Aging and Health (CORAH), you will be responsible for providing administrative support for the CORAH program reporting to the Project Coordinator, you will support the program through active participation in various initiatives including, but not limited to:

  • Supporting in registration of participants
  • Support in creating and distributing promotional material
  • Assist in creating schedule for activities and presentations
  • Supporting project coordinator and CORAH Steering committee as needed
  • Tracking enrolment of participants
  • Assisting in conducting participant feedback
  • Coordinating volunteers for activities and presentation
  • Coordinate to book space on campus for activities and presentations
  • Setting up for program activities
  • Support in filing, booking rooms and meetings, calendar management, as well as general office support as required

What you'll need


Qualifications and Occupational Experience:

  • The minimum educational qualification for this position is a post-secondary certificate or diploma in Business or Office Administration combined with a minimum of two years' recent and related experience in a fast-paced office environment. Or you have the recognized equivalency of a high school diploma with significant (10+) years of administrative experience.
  • You have community experience working with adults 55+.
  • Occupational experience within the education or health sector would be considered an asset.
  • You are familiar with and comfortable using computer applications such as the Microsoft Office Suite, E-mail, and social media marketing.
  • You are comfortable working in a digital environment; you take responsibility for acquiring knowledge about advancing technology; and you are committed to using technology in advancing your work.
  • Experience in training/facilitation preparation, delivery and evaluation would be considered an asset.
  • Experience supporting/providing service to students and prospective students would be considered an asset.
