What you'll be doing...

The Project Manager is responsible for the planning and management of medium-to-large-scale continuing education project(s) for the academic portfolio. This includes managing project resources and stakeholders (internal and external), and the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with organizational, academic and school strategy, commitments, and goals.

The project manager will collaborate with Schools and departments to develop an overall strategy and plan to address continuing education academic/career/workforce development needs and projects across academic that are viable, effective and relevant.

Qualifications and Occupational Experience:

  • The minimum educational qualification for this position is a post-secondary degree (ideally in Education or a related human services). Project Management certification would be considered an asset
  • You have a minimum of five (5) years of recent and related progressively responsible occupational experience in post-secondary education, which includes program planning and/or program development.
  • You have demonstrated proficiency using computer applications such as the Microsoft Office Suite, E-mail, SharePoint, and PeopleSoft.
  • You possess experience with project management tools and methods
  • You have experience functionally leading teams or project teams
  • You possess demonstrated experience in program planning, development and launch
  • Experience in presentation/facilitation
  • Experience in hiring and managing faculty and staff
  • Experience working within a unionized environment.
  • You are comfortable working in a digital environment; you take responsibility for acquiring knowledge about advancing technology; and you are committed to using technology to create an exceptional student experience.
