The salary scale for Professional Support 3 is based on twelve steps that range from $60,263.91 - $84,249.83. New Professional Support may receive up to a maximum of seven steps for relevant occupational experience which is $72,348.21 annually

What you will be doing…

Reporting to the Manager of Curriculum Development - Program and Course Development, the Curriculum Development Coordinator will coordinate and support the program and curriculum development and change processes at the College for all lines of business including core, customized, continuing education and apprenticeship. The Incumbent will coordinate program and course development and changes activities across all Schools. The incumbent will also assist with identifying priorities, developing timelines and process documents, tracking and communicating curriculum development status, identifying potential risks, and collaborating with other departments to resolve issues, provide advice and guidance, and ensure development timelines are met. The Coordinator will collaborate effectively across a matrix organization towards the goal of continuous improvement and academic excellence

Qualifications and Occupational Experience:

  • The minimum educational qualification for this position is a diploma or degree in business administration, education, social sciences, or another relevant discipline. Project management certification and/or training would be considered an asset.
  • You have a minimum of 5 years of recent and related occupational experience in post-secondary education in the area of academic development and coordination.
  • Occupational experience that includes coordinating multiple, simultaneous projects at moderate to high levels of complexity would be considered an asset.
  • You are familiar with and comfortable using computer applications such as the Microsoft Office Suite, E-mail,SharePoint, Teams Forms and One Note.
  • You are comfortable working in a digital environment; you take responsibility for acquiring knowledge about advancing technology; and you are committed to using technology to create an exceptional student experience

As a condition of employment, Professional Support employees at NSCC must complete a two-year (part-time) adult education program delivered by NSCC. This adult education program is a significant investment on the part of NSCC in the learning and development of new employees. To achieve regular status; all probationary, full or part-time Professional Support employees of the College must successfully complete the program within their probationary period. Term full-time Professional Support employees whose term appointment is twelve or more months are also required to participate in this program.
