Salary range: $41,899.48 to $46,599.36 annually
For the 2021-22 Academic Year, based on public health guidelines, NSCC plans to return to more in-person learning, supports and services. You may be required to work on campus, remotely or a combination of both as the Academic Year begins and progresses. This will be clarified further upon hire.

As part of the Lunenburg Campus, the Administrative Assistant will report to the Academic Chair- School of Health and Human Services, and will provide confidential, day-to-day administrative and organizational support to the Academic Chairs in:
School of Access, Learning and Language
School of Business, I.T. and Creative Industries
School of Health and Human Services
School of Trades and Transportation
School of Technology and Environment
The Administrative Assistant will provide a full range of administrative support services. Your responsibilities will also include managing the day-to-day administrative and supportive functions, activities, and programs of the office. This entails logistical planning for meetings, program scheduling for Core, specialized and Apprenticeship training, calendar management, record keeping and file management, managing and organizing data, coordinating special events as well as other related administrative duties to support, as required.

Qualifications and Occupational Experience:
- The minimum educational qualification for this position is a post-secondary certificate or diploma in Business or Office Administration. High school completion with significant years of administrative experience (10+) will also be considered.
- You have a minimum of three years of recent and related occupational experience in a fast-paced office environment.
- You have excellent communication skills, both oral and written. The incumbent is a superb writer/editor, enjoys a fast-paced environment, and is accustomed to working under stringent deadlines
- Proven ability to establish relationships via superb inter-personal skills with internal colleagues, students, and external partners.
- You are comfortable working in a digital environment; you take responsibility for acquiring knowledge about advancing technology; and you are committed to using technology in advancing your work
- You are highly skilled in your use of computer applications such as the Microsoft Office Suite, E-mail and Peoplesoft or a similar ERP system. You are experienced using Excel with tables, filters, and basic functions and other office applications.
- You have proven records and information management skills and abilities.
- You have strong coordination skills including experience organizing the activities of a department/office and includes support for Hiring Competitions
- Experience supporting/providing service to students and prospective students would be considered an asset
