What you will be doing...

We are looking for a senior leader to create a dynamic environment for the people who learn and work at NSCC's Marconi Campus. You will need to be equally adept at inspiring people to do their best; community relations; fiscal management; human resources management; operational planning resulting in the delivery of excellent post-secondary education. Providing daily leadership to 950 full-time students and a staff group of 160 (151 full-time, 9 part-time will require outstanding communication and team-building skills.

As part of the steering committee for the current build of the new downtown Marconi Campus the Principal will play a key role in shaping and nurturing the relationships between NSCC and members of the Cape Breton Regional Municipality (CBRM).

Qualifications and Occupational Experience:

Our newest Principal must have ten years of relevant experience and have served recently in a senior leadership role within a large organization, preferably a post-secondary institution. You have a graduate degree and if you have experience working with diverse communities, it would be a great asset. You are a highly collaborative leader who builds and motivates teams to do amazing things. You can manage multiple projects and objectives, while building and realizing a vision for the Marconi Campus of NSCC. You have experience and are comfortable providing strategic leadership in highly technical environments. You have a passion for helping people achieve their dreams through adult education and life-long learning. And you are looking for the challenge of a lifetime.
