What you will be doing…
We are looking for a senior leader to create a dynamic environment for the people who learn and work at NSCC's Akerley Campus. You will need to be equally adept at inspiring people to do their best; community relations; fiscal management; human resources management; operational planning resulting in the delivery of excellent post-secondary education. Providing daily leadership to more than 869 full-time students and a staff group in excess of 154 will require outstanding communication and team-building skills. Fortunately, you have been honing these skills all your working life. This is a designated competition open only to members of the following communities: Aboriginal/Indigenous people; Members of racially visible groups, including Black/African Nova Scotians; Persons with disabilities and Persons of a minority sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression.

Qualifications and Occupational Experience:
Our newest Principal must have ten years of relevant experience and have served recently in a senior leadership role within a large organization, preferably a post-secondary institution. You have a graduate degree and if you have experience working with diverse communities, it would be a great asset. You are a highly collaborative leader who builds and motivates teams to do amazing things. You can manage multiple projects and objectives, while building and realizing a vision for the Akerley Campus of NSCC. You have a passion for helping people achieve their dreams through adult education and life-long learning. And you are looking for the challenge of a lifetime.
