What you will be doing…

As a key role in the Office of Diversity & Inclusion, the Equity and Inclusion Consultant is a program and project manager, a subject matter expert, and a strategic partner. With a college-wide scope, the Equity and Inclusion Consultant researches, develops, implements, monitors, and evaluates policies, programs, initiatives, and services that operationalize the vision and mandate of the Office of Diversity & Inclusion.

Qualifications and Occupational Experience:

  • The minimum educational qualification for this position is a post secondary education in a related discipline including education, social sciences, human resources, law, etc.
  • Specialized training and/or certifications in areas related to accessibility, diversity, equity and inclusion are considered assets.
  • You have a minimum of three (3) years of recent and related occupational experience as a subject matter expert and/or program manager in the areas of human rights, diversity, equity and inclusion.
  • You are familiar with and comfortable using computer applications such as the Microsoft Office Suite, and Email, including familiarity with databases and business intelligence.

Relevant Skills and Knowledge

  • Subject matter expertise in the areas of diversity, equity and inclusion
  • Demonstrated track record of working effectively within and across equity-seeking communities
  • Superior communication skills (intercultural, non-verbal, verbal, written, and listening)
  • High degree of cultural competency
  • Reflective leadership skills
  • Project management experience
  • Qualitative and quantitative research and analysis skills including statistics and reporting
  • Ability to facilitate the learning of others through effective coaching, consulting and presentation skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Experience developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating programs and/or initiatives
  • Experience working effectively in a large and complex organization
