Responsibilities

As part of the eCampus School of Business, the Administrative Assistant will support the Academic Chair in the coordination and organization of the online course offerings in Business Administration, Office Administration, and Library and Information Technology.

The role requires a high level of multi-tasking and organizational skills with a very strong comfort level with current and emerging technology. The ability to be creative and communicate efficiently and effectively with all levels of the organization is essential. The successful candidate will provide a full range of administrative support services to the Continuing Education team. Your responsibilities will also include managing the day-to-day administrative and supportive functions for the team and coordination of our online course offerings throughout the province.

Qualifications and Occupational Experience:

  • The minimum educational qualification for this position is a post-secondary certificate or diploma in Business or Office Administration combined with a minimum of two years' recent and related experience in a fast-paced office environment. Or you have the recognized equivalency of a high school diploma with significant (10+) years of administrative experience
  • A minimum of two (2) years (full-time equivalent) of recent occupation experience that is directly related to this position, which includes work in a fast-paced office environment
  • Occupational experience that includes 2+ years of working in an academic setting would be considered an asset
  • You are familiar with and comfortable using computer applications such as the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Outlook and Excel
  • Experience using Office 365, including Sharepoint and OneNote would be considered an asset.
  • Experience using PeopleSoft would be an asset
  • You are comfortable working in a digital environment; you take responsibility for acquiring knowledge about advancing technology; and you are committed to using technology in advancing your work
  • Experience supporting/providing service to students and prospective students as well as handling confidential student and/or client information would be considered an asset
  • Experience in data tracking and inputting information into databases is considered an asset
