What you'll do

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Academic Chair, you are the first point of contact in the departments and are responsible for the day to day operations of the Schools. You will provide support to students by working closely with the faculty and staff in the School of IT and Creative Industries, School of Business and School of Health & Human Services Departments at the Institute of Technology Campus. You will be responsible for the administrative functions of the office such as data management, accessing student records, preparing documents and reports, managing flow of paperwork, scheduling meetings and appointments, among other responsibilities.

Qualifications and Occupational Experience:

  • The minimum educational qualification for this position is a post-secondary certificate or diploma in Business or Office Administration combined with a minimum of two years' recent and related experience in a fast-paced office environment. Or you have the recognized equivalency of a high school diploma with significant (10+) years of administrative experience.
  • Occupational experience that includes 2+ years of recent and related experience in a fast-paced office environment.
  • Working in an academic setting would be considered an asset.
  • You are familiar with and comfortable using computer applications such as the Microsoft Office Suite, E-mail.l
  • Experience using Office 365, including Sharepoint would be considered an asset.
  • You are comfortable working in a digital environment; you take responsibility for acquiring knowledge about advancing technology; and you are committed to using technology in advancing your work
  • Experience in training/facilitation preparation, delivery and evaluation would be considered an asset
  • Experience supporting/providing service to students and prospective students would be considered an asset.

  3. Questions. Next to the Application tab, you will see a Questions tab. We will need you to complete these questions in order to submit your application.
