What you'll do

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Academic Chair, Health & Human Services, Kingstec Campus and working as a team member, you will implement and support the Early Childhood Development Support Centre at Nova Scotia Community College, Kingstec Campus. You will be responsible for project coordination, identification of professional development needs for the early childhood sector, and development and delivery of workshops and other?professional development opportunities. You will implement the mentorship program, maintain the resource lending library and create networking opportunities for the sector. You will work as a part of the provincial team to design and deliver professional development to the sector.

Qualifications and Occupational Experience:

  • The minimum educational qualification for this position is a diploma or degree in Early Childhood Studies.
  • You have a minimum of 5 years of recent and related occupational experience in the early childhood field.
  • You must possess First Aid certification
  • Occupational experience that includes Leadership in the early childhood education field would be considered an asset.
  • You are familiar with and comfortable using computer applications such as the Microsoft Office Suite, E-mail and PeopleSoft.
  • You are comfortable working in a digital environment; you take responsibility for acquiring knowledge about advancing technology; and you are committed to using technology in advancing your work
