What you'll do

Responsibilities

You will process expense and travel claims for all employees College wide in compliance with the Travel and Reimbursement Policy. You will perform an audit on each claim for accuracy and completeness. You will ensure claim processing adheres to timelines outlined in the Travel and Reimbursement Policy. You will perform an audit on all purchase cards ensuring policy compliance. Working with the Manager, Accounting Services, you will educate and communicate the Travel and Reimbursement Policy as required in assisting employees with policy interpretation, specifically as it relates to travel and expense claims. Attention to detail is an important aspect of this position. Proficiency in written and oral communication is a necessity.

You will verify accounts payable and journal voucher batches prior to posting to the general ledger. You will be involved in purchase order matching for Central Office invoices. You will provide back up support for other administrative duties as required in the Central Finance department such as journal voucher posting, vendor maintenance, and accounts payable.

Qualifications and Occupational Experience:

* The minimum educational qualification for this position is a post-secondary certificate or diploma in Business or Office Administration.

* You have a minimum of three years of recent and related occupational experience in a fast-paced, office environment.

* You are familiar with and comfortable using computer applications such as the Microsoft Office Suite, E-mail.

* Experience in Office 365 and PeopleSoft would be in asset.

* You are comfortable working in a digital environment; you take responsibility for acquiring knowledge about advancing technology; and you are committed to using technology in advancing your work.
