What you'll do

Responsibilities

We are looking for a senior academic leader to create a dynamic environment for the people who learn and work at NSCC’s Akerley Campus. You will need to be equally adept at inspiring people to do their best, community relations, fiscal management, human resources management, operational planning and the design and delivery of excellent post-secondary education. Providing daily leadership to approximately 875 full-time students and a staff group of about 145 will require outstanding communication and team-building skills. Fortunately, you have been honing these skills all your working life.

You flourish in a dynamic, changing and sometimes ambiguous environment by keeping informed and connected within your role and the College. Is this you?

Our newest Principal must have ten years of relevant experience, and have served recently in a senior leadership role within a post-secondary institution. You must hold a graduate degree and have taught at the post-secondary level. You have a demonstrated knowledge of the principles of adult education, portfolio education and the learning-centred College. If you have experience working with diverse communities, it would be a great asset. Experience within the trades and technology sector and/or hospitality and tourism industry would also be considered an asset. You are a highly collaborative leader who builds and motivates teams to do amazing things. And you are looking for the challenge of a lifetime.
