We operate hospitals, health centres and collaborative community-based programs across the province. The province has family medicine opportunities throughout all four zones of the province.

Responsibilities

The Nova Scotia Health Authority is actively recruiting Family Physicians for practice opportunities throughout the province. Communities within all 4 management zones have opportunities available. Practices range from participating in general practice in a community, to collaborative practice, to a focus on addictions medicine, pain management, obstetrics & gynaecology and palliative care to ER and hospitalist work. We are confident that there is an opportunity that meets your interests professionally in a community that meets your interests personally! Opportunities are in both rural and urban settings. We are open to part time and locum interests as well. Whatever your interests, we'd love to hear from you to start the conversation!

What you'll need

Qualifications

Family physicians must be eligible for a license to practice medicine with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia and either have certification through the College of Family Physicians of Canada or be eligible for certificaion.Physicians interested in practicing in emergency or within a Collaborative Emergenc Centre are required to have ACLS, ATLS and PALS. Having the College of Family Physicians of Canada ER certification would be considered to be an asset.
