The Naomi Society is seeking a talented and detail-oriented part-time Marketing & Design Coordinator to support our communications and outreach efforts. In this role, you'll help shape how we connect with our community by maintaining our social media presence, designing promotional materials, and supporting outreach for events and initiatives.

What you'll do
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Marketing & Design Coordinator plays a key role in advancing Naomi Society's mission through creative communications and design. This contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently while contributing to a collaborative and supportive team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and schedule content for Naomi Society's social media channels using Canva, following our brand guidelines.
- Design posters, graphics, and digital materials for events and public awareness campaigns.
- Design and roll out marketing material for capital campaign for new build
- Update and coordinate printing of brochures, business cards, and other promotional materials as needed.
- Attend monthly in-person staff meetings and participate in occasional professional development sessions involving staff and board members.
What you'll need
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Marketing or Communications with 1-2 years of experience in a similar position
- Proficiency with Canva and social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram).
- Strong visual design skills and attention to branding.
- Ability to work independently from home and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- This is a remote contract position offering flexibility and meaningful work in a supportive team environment.
Terms of Employment:
- Contract until March 2026
- Part-time (21 hours per week)
- Hourly rate of pay: $25/hour & 4% vacation pay
- Location: Remote with occasional in-person meetings in Antigonish
