At LearnNorth, we work with industry-leading K-12 virtual schools in the USA and lend an extra hand with new course development and course reversions by digitalizing module lesson content scripts and lesson assessment scripts that will live in clients Learning Management System (LMS). We have been fighting EdTech monsters for 25+ years! Our team is made up of great professionals working together to deliver the best quality and value to our clients.
Due to the nature of our work, we find ourselves very lucky to be able to offer remote office work opportunities working in Canada only. Applicants must meet remote office work conditions.
We're hiring one more full-time, entry-level LMS migration specialist to assist with a temporary project already in progress. The quality of your work must be as important to you as it is to our client! If you are a detail-oriented, quick learning, critical thinking individual who breathes quality and embraces change, this could be the position for you. Task-specific training will be provided.

Timeline:
- Position Type: Temporary Full-Time

- Term start date: ASAP
- Term end date: End of August 2025 - well suited for a summer or graduating student
- Requires availability of 37.5 work hours a week, weekdays Mon-Fri - 7.5 hours work days. Work hours flexibility between 8:00 am - 8:00 pm Atlantic Time Zone, EXCEPT for the first week of work for training purposes, you must work from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm Atlantic Time Zone.
What you'll do
Responsibilities
LearnNorth's role on this project is to execute the decisions made by our client and digitalize the content provided. In this role, you will report to the project's team lead. Primary responsibility is complaete side-by-side comparision of content and assessment migrated to Buzz LMS from Brightspace LMS to organize content in Buzz to match Brightspace; fix any issues found such as broken media and equation content, build any missing content, build assignment and discussion rubrics. You are required to adhere to the client's guidelines. A secondary role will be to support the development of courses as follows:
- peer verification review of co-worker's deliverables prior to delivery to the client
- fix assigned defects found by our verification review and any defects found or changes requested as a result of client review feedback upon delivery
- other course development tasks as required
What you'll need
Qualifications
Required Criteria:
- be available to start very quickly after offer is accepted
- physically reside and work in Canada.
- be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident of Canada, or have a valid Canadian work permit.
- be able to successfully pass a Criminal Record Check (CRC), upon request
- high English language proficiency - verbal and written
- high level attention to detail
Experience: experience in a similar role is considered an asset, specifically
- Entry level course builderr and/or Instructional Design experience or junior front-end developer experience, or any HTML experience
- Quality Assurance experience is an asset
- Learning Management System (LMS) designer or admin role experience, specifically Brightspace and/or Buzz LMS is an asset
- Course authoring tools experience, such as H5P, is an asset

COURSE DEPLOYMENT SERVICES Are you an online education organization that licenses your online courses to customers of your own? Our team can deploy your courses to your customer's LMS on your behalf. We can even provide ongoing course maintenance support to your customer after deployment if needed.
QUALITY ASSURANCE SERVICES Our team can complete a full functional quality assurance check customized to suit your requirement. We work with you to define a checklist prior to engagement. QA includes a full-click through, verifying that each element functions as designed and meticulously logging all defects. Once each defect edit is made, another team member will verify the functionality before the defect is marked as resolved.
