WHAT WE OFFER

Standard Work Hours: Mon - Fri | 11:15 am - 7:30 pm | 36.25 hours per week
- Hours may be adjusted in the summer months to align with UNB summer hours, with approval from the supervisor and director.
Additional Working Conditions:
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License.
- Ability to operate an automatic transmission van.
- Must be able to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Occasional requirement to work outside of regular working hours including after-hours support, events, and conferences.
Salary Range: $24.48 - $30.54 per hour
YOUR FOCUS
Reporting to the Classroom Technology & Services Supervisor, the Resource Administration/Education Coordinator provides a central point of contact for all UNB Fredericton classroom support issues for faculty, staff, and students. This position also provides several specialized technical services such as training, technical support, consultation, troubleshooting, emergency classroom response, and event support.
- Provide classroom and audio-visual support to UNB Faculty, Staff, and Students through phone, email, or in-person
- Follow policies and procedures for the daily operations of the Equipment Pool and classroom support.
- Provide specialized technical and logistic support to the Faculty and Staff for equipment purchases, conference setups, thesis defenses, awards ceremonies, etc.
- Advise on appropriate equipment, systems, and procedures.
- Keep the delivery van clean and maintained and record the mileage and maintenance.
- Book equipment and space reservations for short-term loans and conference events.
- Arrange deliveries and pickups to meet user needs with optimal use of resources and personnel.
- Solve emergency equipment problems in classrooms with various audio-visual, multimedia, and computer equipment.
- Teach users how to use audio-visual, videoconferencing, smart classrooms, and instructional technology.
- Support team members, foster a culture of teamwork in the department, and participate in team meetings.
- Drive a delivery vehicle for equipment deliveries and pickups across UNBF and the surrounding community.
- Collaborate with Technical Services to stay current on all upgrades in classroom technology.
- Collaborate with ITS Level 1 Working Group and community to create procedures and communications for unified technical support at UNB.
- Keep all equipment clean and functional, and work with Technical Services to coordinate repairs or services needed.
- Assist the supervisor with planning, training, and deployment of student staff.
- Stay up to date with current technologies and trends in the field.
- Manage the WebCheckout inventory tool to track equipment rentals and repairs.
- Assist other departments on Campus that use Web Checkout (Forestry and Geology, GGE).
- Act as a key contact point for tech support between UNB ITS (the server host) and Web Checkout.
- Review inventory and monitor WebCheckout for any errors made by operators.
- Add new equipment to the database and keep the systems calendar up to date with operational hours.
- Manage resource types and policies, install updates, and communicate with software vendors to arrange service, subscriptions, systems upgrades, and version upgrades.
- Liaise with ITS to manage the hosting and maintenance of the database, restricted information access to Colleague records, and network support.
- Other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Post Secondary Education in Audio Visual Technology, Information Technology, Media, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in troubleshooting audio-visual, multimedia and information technology equipment.
- Experience with database administration and systems management.

- Familiar with Apple and Windows software and devices is considered a very strong asset.
