Vice-Provost Academic Administration

The Vice-Provost Academic Administration office oversees UNB's academic planning and support, program quality assurance and accreditation, instructor contracts, and faculty labour relations.

Salary Range: $48,900 - $66,646 per annum

YOUR FOCUS

Reporting to Manager, Academic Planning, the Quality Assurance Coordinator is essential in making sure that the quality assurance reviews of all academic and non-academic units on both campuses are completed within the time constraints required by MPHEC and/or other bodies and ensures that the review process is conducted according to the policies and procedures as directed by MPHEC and the university.

  • Provide administrative support to the Vice-Provost in support of Quality Assurance initiatives at UNB.
  • Coordinate and schedule all academic and non-academic program reviews following the guidelines of UNB policies and procedures on quality assurance as well as MPHEC.
  • Prepare annual quality assurance reports for the Senate Academic Planning & Resource Committees on both campuses.
  • Create and maintain a database of all quality assurance review findings and action plans.
  • Create reports from the database to track follow-up & action plans.
  • Participate in, take minutes, and facilitate activities of the Quality Assurance Program Review Committee.
  • Act as the direct contact person for both campuses relating to quality assurance matters.
  • Coordinate and schedule site visits for the Vice-Provost for program accreditation initiatives.
  • Prepare documentation and materials for the Vice-Provost for program accreditation initiatives.
  • Manage timelines and communicate with Dean's and Faculty Administrators for both campuses on the Quality Assurance review process.
  • Assist faculty and departments in inviting external reviews for quality assurance.
  • Liaise with MPHEC, University Secretariat, and other internal and external stakeholders with respect to Quality Assurance Reviews.
  • Provide communication support to the Vice-Provost in support of program accreditation initiatives.
  • Provide financial support to the vice-provost in support of Quality Assurance initiatives.
  • Manage the Quality Assurance operating budget.
  • Process travel claims and honorariums.
  • Other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Post-Secondary Education in Business Administration or a related field.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of related experience in a related field.

Additional Strengths:

  • A University Degree in Business Administration or a related field is considered a strong asset.
  • Familiarity with University Policies & Procedures, MPHEC policies and guidance concerning quality assurance guidelines would be considered a strong asset.
  • Ability to work independently with little to no supervision.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to address a wide variety of audiences with tact and diplomacy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
