The primary purpose of Student Affairs & Services (SAS) is to support students in achieving their academic, personal, and life goals. WHAT WE OFFER

Standard Work Hours: Mon - Fri | 8:15 am - 4:30 pm | 36.25 hours per week
Salary Range: $24.42 - $28.90 per hour
YOUR FOCUS
Reporting to the Manager, Residence Administration, the Residence Administrative Coordinator is responsible for all residence administration for both traditional residences, and UNB owned internal apartments on both campuses. Annually, they manage the processing of residence applications, room/dining assignments, key assignments, and room/apartment changes. They are also responsible for the quality, regular updating, and improvement of residence life communication materials (website, annual informational emails etc.).
- Process application forms for all new and returning students and assign rooms based on priority system.
- Keep Colleague up to date with all room and meal assignment information.
- Assist with all preparations for residence check-in, including transition back to residence operations from summer operations.
- Track room and apartment occupancy and waitlist numbers on a monthly basis for the Manager Administration, Residence.
- Provide representation of Residence at student recruitment information sessions held twice during the summer and at "Open House" during the fall.
- Responsible for the ongoing maintenance of residence key system including cutting and issuing keys by using a computerized program.
- Reconcile early arrival and late billing invoices and charges between the food service provider and Residence.
- Liaise with UNB Financial Services regarding student account information and billing of students.
- Reconcile student accounts to ensure application fees are paid, and student accounts aren't overdue.
- Manage the billing for Holiday stay and Summer Residence on both campuses.
- Apply cancellation charges to student accounts for both campuses.
WHAT YOU BRING
- High School Diploma
- 3 or more years of related office and/or administrative experience
- A combination of education and experience may be considered.
Additional Strengths
- Diploma or certificate in administrative support or office management is an asset.
- Experience in a post-secondary environment, working with Student Information Software, and experience working within the NB Tenancy Act would be considered an asset.
- High level of comfort and experience working with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with the development and implementation of the student/client-centric administrative services.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively, confidently, and independently.
- Empathetic listening skills to deal with students and parents/supporters in stressful situations.
- Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to successfully perceive, navigate and respond appropriately to sensitive issues.
