We are currently recruiting for a Director of Sales Western Canada to join our sales team. This role is based in Alberta covering off the Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan markets and will report to National Director of Sales Canada.

What you'll do

Responsibilities

  • Develops annual Western Market volume and profit plan in collaboration with Marketing, Finance and Supply Chain teams
  • Manage the field Sales Team through regular in-field ride alongs to better understand issues and challenges, as well as current types and levels of competitor activity.
  • Coaching and Developing Team members selling and executional skills
  • Support development of market level sales initiatives and translate those into sound execution plans that deliver results
  • Work closely with Marketing to establish pricing strategy and principles and execute according to aligned strategy
  • Promote entrepreneurial thinking and creative problem solving as to develop and execute new and innovative sales initiatives
  • Lead process development and improvement to drive effectiveness and efficiencies
  • Lead in product listing negotiations and facilitate go-to-market strategies for all channels of business in Western Canada.
  • Build portfolio brand awareness to ensure consumers are exposed to Moosehead and Partner brands across the Western Canada marketplace.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to meet and exceed growth targets and achieve profit objectives. Understand the customers' business objectives, identify opportunities, and align company products/services to meet their needs.
  • Deliver Core and Partner Volume to Plan Levels with Assigned Customers and Spending Within Plan Spend Levels
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within the customer's organization. Engage in regular communication to understand their requirements, address concerns, and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Main point of contact and management between Moosehead Breweries and Wett Sales in Manitoba/Saskatchewan
  • Negotiate and deliver customer performance against business fundamentals for Moosehead and Partner brands, while ensuring clear and timely communication to the Sales and Cross-Functional teams across Moosehead to enable strong execution.
  • Use data and insights to regularly assess performance against business fundamentals and develop plans to close any identified gaps. Stay updated on industry trends and competitive activity to provide insights and direction.
  • Collaborate and assist Supply Chain teams with forecasting of promotional items and new listings.

What you'll need

Qualifications

  • Experience within the Beverage Alcohol industry and/or CPG Sales / Category Management experience
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Strong strategic, analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Proven record of achieving volume and margin targets with assigned customers
  • Strong proficiency in Revenue Management
  • Goal oriented, sets high standards, holds self-accountable, focuses on the results with demonstrated ability of meeting objectives
  • Demonstrated and consistent use of a disciplined sales process with customers
  • Competence in the use of Microsoft Office suite of tools: Excel Pivot Tables, Powerpoint, Word
  • Own a reliable vehicle & hold a valid driver's license
  • Ability to travel and work flexible hours which may include some evenings and weekends
  • Post-secondary graduate in Business or a related field
  • High performer with the drive to complete complex projects with applied strategic aptitude
  • Excellent communicator and negotiator with a focus on building strong longer-partnerships
  • Ability to deliver business objectives while staying within prescribed budgets
  • Highly skilled in project management with the ability to be agile in our approach and responsiveness to our partners
