Shaw Living is one of The Shaw Group Limited's newest divisions with a focus on construction and long-term rental ownership. Born out of the initial corporate strategy of 'adding value to land', Shaw Living has grown substantially from one multi-residential building investment and one ground-based modular project to involvement in more than 500 units of multi-residential development and several ground-based modular projects running simultaneously. Shaw Living wholly owns several buildings and is also a proud partner with other real estate developers and builders. Since 2017, the division has expanded from a staff of two to currently employing more than 30 individuals with skill sets ranging from project managers to supervisors to general laborers.

We are currently looking for a Resident Manager or a Resident Manager Couple. Someone with effective communication, organizational and customer service skills. They will be responsible for the direct management and oversight of assigned commercial/residential properties. The Resident manager is responsible for a multi-unit property along with our town homes at maple mews (Lantz) and this includes the day-to-day operations and the overall management of the commercial/residential portfolio including maintenance, cleaning, administration, leasing, and staff and contractor supervision.

What you'll do

Responsibilities

  • On Call Duties
  • Cleaning of all common and public area
  • Creating and maintaining positive Tenant Relations
  • Rental inquiries, including viewings and general leasing inquiries
  • Snow removal, and salting of walkways, front and side entrances etc.
  • Preparing units for new tenants
  • Minor maintenance
  • Coordinating service calls for non-minor maintenance
  • Administrative duties

What you'll need

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in customer service roll
  • Good written and oral communication
  • Ability to work well in a team environment with limited supervision
  • Previous experience with residential property management industry is an asset
  • Basic computer skills
