Remsoft

The VP Finance will be responsible for ensuring the financial health of the business at all levels including, accounting, financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, tax, risk, and treasury functions. You will partner with the CEO and Senior Leadership Team to drive strategic finance, operational and tax efficiency and more.

• Serve as a financial advisor to the CEO and the Senior Leadership Team for strategic and risk planning purposes

• Develop and implement a strategic finance function, including leading effective budgeting processes, building financial models and a robust reporting suite, identifying expense efficiencies and possibly revenue opportunities

• Ensure compliance with company and Board policies, generally accepted accounting principles, and appropriate laws and ethics as it relates to accounting, tax, insurance, claims and risk management, purchasing and electronic data processing

• Oversee all aspects of the operations of the business as it relates to finance including Sales, Services, insurance, contracts, etc.

• Liaise with external advisors including audit, tax, SR&ED and legal

• Work closely with the Sales and Customer Success Teams to develop pricing strategies and profitability analysis for our software products

• Manage the tax function and ensure compliance with all tax laws and regulations

• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic decision-making across the company

• Hire, develop and lead a high-performing finance team that provides excellent service and support to the rest of the organization

• Proven track record of success in providing value to the senior leadership team through financial reporting
• Solid understanding of the challenges in scaling a technology business relative to finance functions. Understands and can report on metrics related to growth, profitability and revenue mix and other KPIs
• Solid understanding of business drivers, working with product and marketing heads to set ambitious and achievable goals
• Strong financial modeling skills
• Ability to interpret legal documentation and agreements
• Strong knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices
• Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software
• Ability to strategize and solve problems
• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and people skills
• An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers
