The Department of University Advancement at Mount Saint Vincent University invites applications for the position of Advancement Coordinator.

Classification: Full-Time NSGEU Level 6 Position
Salary: $40,900 per annum (Step Progression: $40,900 to $48,840)

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Manager, Advancement Services, the Advancement Coordinator provides direct support to the portfolios of Advancement Services and Philanthropy. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping to deliver the overall goals, objectives and strategies of Advancement, including campaign and 150th Anniversary support.

The Advancement Coordinator will provide support to the Advancement Team through the following primary responsibilities: donation entry and receipting; effective database entry, clean-up and maintenance; prospect, foundation, alumni and stakeholder research; special events assistance.

Qualifications

A 2-year community college diploma in Office Administration or similar program complemented by two years of experience in a similar administrative setting is required. Candidates must have essential skills in: organizational and time management, confidentiality, effective communication (both written and verbal), and a high level of attention to detail. Candidates should also have the ability to conduct online research, multitask effectively, and perform repetitive tasks with a high degree of accuracy. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently with minimal supervision and be comfortable calling alumni and donors. Candidates should be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (specifically with Excel), and have an aptitude for, or previous experience, using business enterprise systems such as Colleague, Banner, PeopleSoft, etc.
