Responsibilities

What you will be working on:

Reporting to the Registrar, the Head of Registration, Records and Scheduling provides overall direction and leadership to the Registration, Records and Scheduling Team across 6 campuses to facilitate the development and administration of records, scheduling and registration services and related business processes for programs/courses offered by the college. The Head is responsible for ensuring exceptional service to students and that all eligible students have met fee requirements, have a timetable, accurate student records and graduate audits. In collaboration with the Manager of Systems Projects and Data Quality, the incumbent is also responsible for maximizing the use of the Student Information Management System (Peoplesoft) in providing service and acting as a business matter expert to inform system project design and implementation with a focus on automation and enhancing registration, records and scheduling services for students.

What we are looking for:

  • Four-year Degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in Education, Social Sciences, Business Administration, Computer Science or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of progressively responsible leadership experience in a Registrar's Office setting preferably within records and registration.
  • Demonstrated success in leading, motivating and developing staff, preparing work plans and establishing meaningful priorities.
  • Sound knowledge of higher education business technology applications and related records management processes including demonstrated success in leveraging the capabilities of student information systems.
  • Experience in developing, implementing and monitoring service excellence while working with multiple internal and external partners.
  • Intermediate level computer skills using a variety of software applications including word processing, spreadsheet applications, presentation software, email and internet.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with a wide range of cultures, including providing exceptional levels of customer service which recognize cultural diversity.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the New Brunswick Postsecondary System.
  • Strong understanding and experience using the Records portion of a Student Information System such as Peoplesoft.
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully developing highly motivated teams to deliver superior service to students in a fast paced, diverse, demanding environment with high volume and tight deadlines.
  • Experience effectively managing and fostering trust in a unionized environment
  • Demonstrated experience in financial analysis and budget management.
  • Extensive knowledge of the post-secondary policy/procedure development processes and of related operating requirements to write policies, procedures, reports and proposals.
  • Demonstrates the ability to exercise a high degree of initiative and judgment on a wide range of complex issues.
  • A Valid Drivers License as travel is required.
